Business Branding Photos: The Top Three Important Photos to Create During Your Next Business Branding Photoshoot

Does your website need updated images of you and your team?

One of the best ways to create a sense of authenticity and trust with your ideal clients is to show them who they’ll actually be working with.

Even strictly virtual companies and organizations need to show themselves online.
The likelihood is you’ll eventually get on a video call with your client, and you (and your team!) should look like the people on your website.

People can see stock images a mile away, not to mention there’s no cap on who can use those stock images.
If someone sees that stock image of a team on one businesses’ site and then on yours as well, that confusion will absolutely make your potential client run away from you, like far far away!

And don’t get me started with fully AI “photos” for headshots or team members.
Not only are there legal issues involved (because it’s not a photo of you, but a collage of cobbled together copyrighted images from all over the interwebs) – it comes off as a lack of investment in your business.

Which translates to your clients that maybe you won’t be investing much into them either.

Not to mention the creepy dead eyes those awful AI “headshots” offer.
Just say no.

With that said, what are some of the top images you should get when you have branding or rebranding photos taken for you and your team:

Headshots:

These can be against a solid backdrop which I can provide, or set up in your offices, outside your office buildings, or lobby areas. A local park works or an event space you’re renting for the day.

Some companies and organizations I’ve worked with have also rented day-use office spaces for their photoshoots, which is great for virtual companies that want to give off the feeling of being in an office, but don’t have or need a dedicated office for the work they do.

Your images can be relaxed, or more conservative and polished. It truly depends on your ideal client and what would work best for them.

I’m there to help you through figuring out what is best for your business during our planning process.

I’ll help you with choosing backdrops, colors, locations, as well as offer clothing tips prior to your photoshoot and styling tips the day of.

It’s also a fantastic time to get you and your team together to go over business planning, goals and workshops.
Which leads me to my next suggested photo type,

Custom Stock Images:

If people go to your website, your blog, and your social media sites and see custom stock images of you and your actual team working together and collaborating together, that will really solidify the trustworthiness of your business.

A generic stock image you purchase for a handful of dollars will never have the power to grab the attention of your ideal client like images created specifically for you, your teams, and your business.

It doesn’t take too much time to break off after taking your headshots and spend some time creating images of you all together working.

Even better, if you’re having a workshop or working session that can be documented, you’ll get a wealth of images you can use to tell your business’ visual story.

In either scenario, I am there to help guide you, pose you to look most relaxed and approachable, and give suggestions for hero shots, banner shots and detail shots.

People can absolutely tell when images on a site aren’t authentic.
They may not be able to tell exactly why but they feel it.

And the minute you lose that trust, you lose that client/s.

My final suggestion for photos to have taken during your branding photoshoot:

If you’re all together, you might as well get yourself a

Group Photo:

People truly like to see who they are working with.

Showing you and your team together in a group photo gives your ideal client the feeling that you really respect each other’s company and enjoy working together.

Which means no drama for your client to deal with.
And a happy work environment usually equals a very successful business.
And for your clients, they know that’ll help them to succeed too.

It’s also a great item to use to introduce yourselves on your site or social media.
You can use it in print materials, or for holiday and seasonal greetings.

Group shots do not take much time and are a really wonderful piece to have in your visual assets.
